Tapas continue to be part of the agenda in Madrid. Patatas bravas, for example, are a classic and have their own festival: the Mahou Bravas Fest, where different bars will compete to offer the best version of this spicy sauce.
Now, and until September 28, the Ruta de la Tapa arrives in Leganés, in a new edition in which more than 80 bars in the area will participate. For 2.50 euros you can taste creations such as the salmon poke fusion cup, the sofrito of vegetables with squid in its ink, tuna tataki, zucchini and bean foam or the empanada of chicken and homemade sauce, among others.
Each establishment will bet on an elaboration and on the official website you can find a map with which to locate each restaurant. The aim is to promote local trade and “enjoy the best that Leganés has: its people, its joy and to know the talent and gastronomic diversity,” said the mayor of Leganés, Miguel Ángel Recuenco, during the presentation of the Ruta de la Tapa to the media.
The most soccer tapa at the Leganés stadium

For the first time, the Leganés sports club joins the competition with a recipe for potatoes with mojo picón. This choice is a tribute to the Las Palmas team, which visited its soccer field for the match on September 20, during the gastronomic festival. The attending public was able to taste it that same day in the Fan Zone, located next to the stadium.
With this initiative, Ontime Butarque Stadium aims to modernize and further differentiate its services. “We want to offer something different within what is hospitality and make a boutique stadium. It is an honor for us to participate in this event that unites the City Council, the people, the city and the passion that CD Leganés represents,” explained the head of Institutional Relations of CD Leganés, Martín Mantovani, during the presentation ceremony to the media.
Taste, share and vote

From the City Council of Leganés, they have made it clear that the key to the Ruta de la Tapa is to share it with family and friends. It is a plan for all audiences and invites you to discover the different flavors of local cuisine. In addition, they have highlighted the proximity, friendliness and commitment of the hospitality of the municipality, encouraging all residents to consume it.
The 2.50 euros for each tapa does not include the drink, so everyone can decide what they prefer to accompany it. In addition, those who participate will be able to vote for their favorite through an automated online system accessed through the purchase receipt. By voting, you enter a draw for 3 vouchers of 100 euros each, which can be redeemed in the three establishments with the most voted tapas.
