Street food quality street food, very Mexican, in a modest place with many followers. This is what we can find in Valletakos, a small business that, with six months of life, can already boast of a prize dish. Su Oxtail Taco has won first place in the second edition of El Mejor Taco, a contest that seeks (and finds) the best taco in the country, in which taquerias from all over Spain have participated.
A fusion of two gastronomies

To prepare the star dish of Valletakos the raw material used is a powerful raw material: oxtail. It is used to make a birria stuffing, a typical stew from Jalisco that, in its most traditional version, is prepared with goat meat. To tasty interior of El Taco de Rabo de Toro mexican chiles, garlic, onion and vinegar are added. Its wrapper, thin and crispy, is a freshly made tortilla. As an accompaniment, an avocado sauce and a small glass of leftover broth from the birria are added to enjoy every bite to the fullest.
The Taco de Rabo de Toro is anoriginal bet. It incorporates typical ingredients of our land to a very Mexican recipe that is becoming very fashionable in the capital city thanks to restaurants such as Mami Tacos. It is also very competitively priced: 5€ per unit, with sauce and birria broth included.
The dish can be tasted at booth number 24 of the nueva Numancia market which can be easily reached from the Portazgo subway station. The premises are open from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Wednesdays and Sundays, and from 1:00 pm to 11:30 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Los Chamacos, the Castellón taqueria that won the prize for the best taqueria in the world, was just one step away from victory Best Taco in 2023. This year, he entered the contest with a taco stuffed with veal prepared barbecue style and won a respectable second place. The bronze medal went to another Madrid business, Tacos al Chile, with a dish full of references to Mexican street food. At the moment it has no premises, but delivery service.
