Emblematic taverns and restaurants that offer the most traditional dishes of our gastronomy. These are the scenarios in which we will enjoy #ChateaMadrid, an initiative of the Centennial Restaurant Association (RCM) which, with the collaboration of the Madrid City Council, presents another year this plan, ideal for learning about Spanish oenology.
With #ChateaMadrid, when visiting one of its selected famous establishments, we will be able to taste a glass of wine from Consejo Regulador de la D.O. “Wines of Madrid”. It will only cost us 1€, which is a bargain considering the average cost of a glass of wine in the capital. In addition, with each glass of wine, we will be given a designer glass to celebrate the occasion.
There’s even more: there will be a raffle for two wine tourism experiences through Instagram which is already published on the RCM account and some locals who have joined the initiative.

The participating locations are La Ardosa (Colón, 13); Casa Alberto (Huertas, 18); Casa Ciriaco (Mayor, 84); Cervecería Alemana (Santa Ana, 6); La Casa del Abuelo (Victoria, 12); Las Cuevas de Luis Candelas (Cuchilleros, 1); Posada de la Villa (La Cava Baja, 9) and Taberna Antonio Sánchez (Mesón de Paredes, 13).
#ChateaMadrid kicks off on Tuesday, July 2, and although it is estimated to last until Sunday, July 28, the chatos will be distributed while supplies last. It is therefore a good idea to reserve a day in the first two weeks of the month to enjoy a first-class gastronomic experience before the end of the month.
