It is well known that one of the things that summer in Madrid is synonymous with is construction work. Among them, this month of august the works affecting the tunnel that connects Atocha, Recoletos and Nuevos Ministerios will be underway. As a result, it will cause the closure of the Recoletos Cercanías de Recoletos station for the duration of the works: from August 14 to 19.
This has been announced by Cercanías Madrid, which has also pointed out that the works will affect the usual route of five of its lines: C-1, C-2, C-7, C-8 and C-10.
Lines C1, C2, C7 and C10 will end and start at Atocha, while lines C2, C7, C8 and C8A will start at Nuevos Ministerios. People wishing to continue their journey from either of these stations can do so by transferring to lines C3 and C4 A and B, which run between the two through the Sol tunnel.
