The Ruta del Cocido Madrileño returns in 2025 with a new edition -the fifteenth in its history- with the most famous and celebrated spoon dish of Madrid’s gastronomy as the protagonist. It will take place from February 15 to March 31, with the participation of more than 35 restaurants spread throughout the Community of Madrid, Toledo and Segovia.
The event plans to distribute some 90,000 servings of stew, for which thousands of kilos of noodles and chickpeas will be used. However, the way they are served and prepared is as varied as the number of participating restaurants: there are two, three or four servings and there is also a vegan option.
As for prices, they range from 14€ to almost 40€ (depending on what the menu includes). Among the establishments that join the Ruta del Cocido Madrileño there are names with as much tradition as La Bola, Malacatín or Casa Carola. You can check all the restaurants and what each one offers on the event’s website.
The prizes of the Cocido Madrileño Route
In addition to enjoying this mythical traditional dish, the route will also have, as usual, different prizes. While the event lasts, and after having gone to at least one of the restaurants, diners can vote for their favorite on the web and opt for one of the 100 cocidos that will be raffled during the route.
And once it ends, among all those who have voted will be drawn a prize worth € 2,000 consisting of:
- Your own weight in wine from Las Moradas de San Martín D.O. Vinos de Madrid.
- Your weight in Olive Oil from Madrid.
- Your own weight in Garbanzos de Godín (Daganzo).
- An acorn-fed ham from Las Chacinas de Salamanca.
In all cases it will be essential to keep the receipt of the restaurant where you have made your purchase.
