In March, music fills Madrid’s cultural centersfree of charge . This is the #Centro al Compás festival , promoted by the city council to showcase various local groups and artists.
The program will begin this Saturday, March 7, and will run until Wednesday, March 25, with different performances at the Clara del Rey Cultural Center and the Puerta de Toledo Cultural Center. All kinds of genres will be included, from classical music, jazz, choirs, and new groups.
Supporting local talent

This is not the first time that Madrid residents will be able to attend the Centro al Compás festival, as it was held last year. With this renewal, the city council aims to consolidate the event as “a cultural landmark for residents and visitors,“ as stated on its website.
According to Carlos Segura, councilor for theCentro district, during the presentation, the music series “reinforces the district’s commitmentto local culture and the promotion of local talent.” He added that it “turns cultural centers into living spaces where creation, training, and neighborhood participation come together.”
