A concert of live classical music, 20,000 candles that invade the scene at ground level and hundreds of drones in the sky performing a mesmerizing dance of figures flying over a string quartet. The DroneArt Show will be installed ephemerally at the Zarzuela Hippodrome(May 22, 23 and 24). Tickets have just gone on sale.
After having enchanted spectators in Los Angeles and Miami, DroneArt Show will arrive in Madrid in May for three days only. The key to the show is the combination of the emotion of classical music and modern technology: all this results in a dance of drones that create figures in tune with each rhythm, with each stroke of sound of the works of Vivaldi, Debussy or Tchaikovsky. In addition, there will be food trucks before the event and a DJ livening up the place after the show.
What will the DroneArt Show consist of?
That emotion has to do with the eternal melodies of the great masters of classical music. But also with the technology used in this event to achieve a high ratio of drone flight time: the show consists of two alternating fleets -while one flies, the other is charging-, unlike traditional drone shows (which usually last an average of 10 minutes).
Imagine a concert by a string quartet whose musicians are surrounded by 20,000 candles. The glow creates an almost magical atmosphere, with the shadows, the flickering effect of the light… and suddenly, as the piece intensifies, a fleet of drones appears, perfectly synchronized, painting the sky with suggestive forms of light and color.
The repertoire of the concert will include classics by Vivaldi, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky… Flowers, stars, swans? Everything is possible. The show is art, technology and music, all at the same time. It will take place for approximately 60 minutes at the Zarzuela Hippodrome, a place located “on the other side” of the M30, that is to say, far from the urban furor, with a clear sky where there is little light pollution. The show is suitable for children from 8 years old.
