Music, theater, poetry and scenography are mixed in a genre that is reborn in the theaters of the capital. Yes, opera is back in fashion because it is no longer a luxury that a few can afford: the most exciting sung narratives of all time are enjoyed in Madrid at festival prices.
In addition, we Madrilenians are lucky that Opera Week brings with it free activities to bring such prestigious works as Madama Butterfly or La Bohème to the general public . To enjoy them, all you have to do is fill out a form. This year, the event will be held from September 23 to 29 at the Teatro Real ( Plaza de Isabel II) and, as a novelty, also at the Real Teatro de Retiro ( Plaza Daoíz y Velarde).
