French cuisine has gone around the world for its refinement and authenticity. Paul, a great patisserie founded the same year as the Eiffel Tower, is proof of this. With more than a hundred years of history and faithful to its Parisian roots, it has restaurants in fifty countries. In Madrid it has one in the Barajas airport, and will soon open another at number 80 Serrano Street.
The patisserie on the Golden Mile will have 250 square meters and two terraces. It will be just a few meters away from brands such as Tiffany & Co, Gucci, Dior and Cartier. With this privileged location, the brand aims to attract customers from the sophisticated Salamanca district, who value the craftsmanship and quality of its products.
Paul has innovative and traditional recipes: some with more than five generations (such as the classic shell-shapedmadeleines ) and others completely new. The stars of the house are the croissants, buttery chocolate napolitains, raisin rolls (or pains aux raisins) and fruit tarts.
Other Parisian nooks and crannies in Madrid
In Madrid there are excellent samples of the savoir faire of French pastry chefs. Among them we have Aux Merveilleux de Fred, which has enamored the neighborhood of Justicia with its fluffy baked brioches and meringue pastries. Maison Kayser, by chef Éric Kayser, awarded in 2022 for creating the best croissants in Madrid, also stands out.
