The Madrid Marriott Princesa Plaza Hotel (Serrano Jover Street, 3) will host for one day only -this Saturday, November 22nd- the fifth edition of the Madrid Miniatures Fair, an event that will be attended by more than 50 artisans whose specialty is the creation of small works of art to collect or decorate dollhouses.
The exhibitors will be located in the hotel‘s Events Hall, where the artisans -from Spain, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands- will sell pieces such as knitwear, embroidery, pastries, oil paintings, furniture, dresses, tableware, shoes and dolls.
The figurines, completely original, are made in scales of 1:12 and even 1:144 and can be found in a variety of decorative styles: from modern minimalist, shabby chic and art noveau to the 70s and 80s of the last century.
People who like crafts, in addition, “can find kits and materials to make their own miniatures,” explained from the organization of Feria Miniaturas Madrid.
A contest of Madrid scenes

As has become customary, in addition to the artisans, the public can also be the protagonist of the day by participating in the traditional Madrid scenes contest.
The requirements include that the scene must be unique, original, unpublished and completely anonymous and its size must not exceed 30 x 30 cm. The best entries will win cash prizes (to be spent at the fair itself).
