The Macarfi gastronomic platform has celebrated its tenth gala, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the sector. What began as a local project of Manuel Carreras Fisas (MaCarFi) in Barcelona, today covers eight autonomous communities and aims to cover the entire peninsula in 2026.
In this edition of the Macarfi 2025 Gala, hosted by Carlos Latre, awards were given to the restaurants Disfrutar, DiverXO and Asador Etxebarri, which have topped the “Top of the Tops” ranking for the last three years. The Rookie award for the best opening of 2024 went to Ibai (Euskadi), followed by Pabú (Madrid) and Maymanta (Catalonia).

The category of rookies is complemented by Rural (in sixth position), Sen Omakase (which received last year’s Michelin star and which we told you about in this article), Per Se Bistró (eighth) and Varra (eleventh).
Madrid has had an outstanding representation at the gala, with several of its restaurants within the regional and national “Top”. Since 1911, Estimar Madrid, Ugo Chan, Saddle and Horcher lead the Madrid ranking, followed by Coque, Smoked Room, OSA, Sacha and Gofio.
Macarfi, with its approach based on the opinion of chefs and experts, continues to gain ground against other more traditional gastronomic guides. Gastronomy continues to be a key factor in Spanish culture, and this guide demonstrates that recognition continues to depend, to a large extent, on the recommendation of those who know the sector best.
