Understanding life as a video game, the city can be seen as a territory full of blocked areas that remain inaccessible to the user throughout the year. For that to change, activities such as Open House Madrid (which has just been held) or Madrid Otra Mirada, which has already announced the dates of its next celebration, are needed.
Madrid Otra Mirada is a program of visits to the cultural heritage of Madrid organized by the City Council itself and represents a way to learn about its history and architecture through workshops, tours, screenings and even free concerts.
This opportunity to get to know Madrid from a different perspective will take place from October 17 to 20 in what will be its XII edition and which will mean the return to four days of celebration (instead of the three of previous editions). This year, in addition, the event focuses on the 150th anniversary of the birth of the architect Antonio Palacios -author of the famous Gran Vía pavilion and other buildings such as the Palacio de Cibeles.
Registration opens tomorrow, Wednesday 2 at 10 am at this link. And as a recurring tip in this kind of events we always recommend to set an alarm on your cell phone because the tickets are sold out very quickly.
