The Middle Ages return this weekend to Las Rozas with fire, dragons and crafts. From October 17 to 19, the Calle Real of this municipality will host a medieval market full of shows, food and fun. It will be open from 11:00 to 14:30 hours and from 17 to 23:00 hours for all audiences.
The minstrels, jugglers and fantastic characters will be the main protagonists, responsible for immersing residents and visitors on a journey into the past. For this there will be parades, parades, entertainment and circus performances, always accompanied by lots of music and medieval sounds.
The stalls will be manned by perfectly characterized merchants who will offer their crafts, silver, jewelry, air fresheners, cosmetics, cheese or olives. There will also be workshops of old trades that will recall what life was like in the old guilds. And those who wish to dine or have lunch in this environment will be able to do so, as food will be sold and there will be a gastronomic area for seating.
Music and fantasy

The opening of the medieval market will be on Friday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m., with a parade of the Grand Dragon accompanied by music and the King’s jesters. The fantasy will extend throughout the weekend, with the appearance of magical beings such as forest fauns, sorcerers and their potions, goblins or “mushdrogs”, a mischievous mushrooms .
All of them will appear in the form of parades or itinerant animations, so they will go to the rhythm of the music. The melodies of the Middle Ages will resound and the minstrels will be in charge of setting the atmosphere of the market with their songs.
Night in flames

Another of the great attractions of the Las Rozas medieval market are the circus and fire shows, which can be seen on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 October at 22:00 and 22:30, respectively. In the darkness of the night, the flames of fire will illuminate the street through a show that mixes pyrotechnics and juggling.
In the case of Sunday 19, the farewell of the event will be at 21:30 hours with the parade of the Great Dragon and his dark entourage, which will close the medieval market and there will be no more room for more fire.
Attractions and storytelling

The little ones will be able to climb on attractions with medieval aesthetics, participate in children’s games and enjoy the fantastic and family-friendly shows. The decorations and interaction with artisans and magical beings will allow them to experience the magic of medieval times firsthand.
They will also be able to listen to the stories of Ashdrog, the wise tree, an activity that will take place on Saturday at 12:00 noon and on Sunday at 11:30 am.
How to get to Las Rozas
Las Rozas is about 20 km northwest of the center of Madrid and can be reached by car following the A-6 highway (road to La Coruña).
Another option is to use public transport, with the C-10 commuter line or buses 662 and 629 that leave from the Moncloa interchange.
