Madrid’s calendar adds a new must-see event for lovers of fine dining. The first edition of Madrid Food Fest will take place at the Railway Museum on May 23 and 24 to bring the culinary excellence of 16 haute cuisine chefs to the general public. The goal is to show that signature cuisine can also be enjoyed by getting your hands dirty, in an informal and highly entertaining setting. Get tickets here.
Chefs with Michelin Stars and Repsol Suns
At Madrid Food Fest, top-tier chefs with Michelin Stars and Repsol Suns will adapt their expertise to the street food format with exclusive creations. Among the star dishes of this first edition are:
- Edwin Rodríguez ( Quimbaya): BBQ guava pork rinds and oxtail with panela and yuca.
- Miguel Ángel Expósito (Retama): Atascaburras fritters and slow-cooked lamb brioche.
- Javier Aparicio (Salino/La Raquetista): the award-winning “Croqueta Salino” (Best in Spain 2026) and Cachivache’s patatas bravas.
- Víctor Infantes ( Ancestral): marinated pig’s ear brioche and his Best Escabeche in Spain 2023.
- Pablo López and Lalo Zarcero (Marmitón): Inés Rosales cake with sobrasada and venison ragout with parmentier.
- Irene Amat (Itama Pastelería): Sweet creations such as her Brookie and Citrus Voltage.
Namessuch as Rafa Bérgamo ( Kuoco/Krudo) and Xandra Luque ( and her famous Enxaladilla Rusa), among others, round out the lineup for the first Madrid Food Fest.
Madrid Food Fest is not just about eating
To complement this display of culinary talent, Madrid Food Fest goes beyond the kitchen and offers a full program to enjoy with all five senses, featuring activities such as live cooking demonstrations, workshops, music, and live podcasts, along with the book launch of *Mejor si pica* by Anilú Cigüeñas, a workshop on how to make the perfect gin and tonic , and the *Cabaret Sauvignon* show.
In addition, a large market at the Railway Museum will bring together artisan producers from all over Spain, offering everything from cheeses, honey, and olive oil to chocolate and signature preserves. Among the exhibitors, you’ll find brands such as Curador Coffee, Quesos La Mueda, Bodegas Tarón, the iconic Brava sauce from Bar Docamar, Jamones León, and Naturquinoa.
