Latest news about Alcaraz at Mutua Madrid Open 2025
One of the big questions about the Mutua Madrid Open Tennis 2025 is when Carlos Alcaraz could be seen in action and against whom he would be playing. Well, although it was initially planned that we would be able to see the player from Murcia on Friday 25 or Saturday 26 April, Alcaraz will not be playing at the Mutua Madrid Open 2025.
The news was announced by Radio MARCA on Thursday, April 24, and the reason for his withdrawal has to do with the injury he suffered last week in the final of the Godó de Barcelona, in which he was playing against Danish Rune.
Rafa Nadal was one of the first to take an interest in how the tennis player was feeling, as he said himself and as several media have reported: “I have seen that he has written to me giving me encouragement and telling me that he hopes it is nothing and that in a few days he can return to training and be at his best in Madrid”.
Draws: qualifying and main draw
The draw of the preliminary phase can be consulted here and the main draw, which starts on Wednesday, April 23, is available at this link.
Are tickets still available and how much do they cost?
Yes, tickets for MMO 2025 are still available. The cheapest tickets are priced at €42, but can reach over €400.
Squares converted into tennis courts
On the occasion of the tournament there have been several occasions in which the organization has converted different squares of the capital into tennis courts, an initiative that has been welcomed with different moods by the followers of this sport and the affected neighborhood. Two years ago the installation of a rentable tennis court took place in the Plaza de Colón and last year it was in Madrid’s Plaza Mayor.
