Long before October arrives, the 2024 Oktoberfest in Madrid begins preparations. Spaniards consume more beer than Germans; specifically, Spain was second in beer consumption in 2021.
So out of the 417 beers that the average Spaniard drinks per year, according to Expensivity, there is room for more than one German beer and more when it comes to celebrating it. You know that if the Ein Prosit traditional German song for this holiday starts playing, don’t forget to toast with a liter mug in your hand, while trying to pronounce Prost..
As a collateral result of the rise in beer consumption, there has also been an added interest in the way this drink is brewed, and there is an increasing supply of beer tastings and locally brewed craft beer.

Oktoberfest Experience
The Oktoberfest in Madrid has a space in the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío, which will host for ten days –from September 12 to 22– the traditional Bavarian festival.
Both the decoration of the theater -with all the traditional elements of a biergarten- and the aromas, that mixture of sauerkraut and beer -in this case Paulaner- unmistakable, perfectly reproduce the feeling of being in Munich itself celebrating it.
There will be a master of ceremonies, which will help to integrate even more in the experience. And the evening will also be accompanied by live music and DJ sessions. The ticket includes a one-liter pitcher of Paulaner, assortment of sausages, German knuckle, mash, sauerkraut, bretzel and German sauces.
📍 Location: Cuesta San Vicente, 44 (Príncipe Pío).
