They’ve played, they’ve excelled, and they’ve qualified: Spain ( both the women’s and men’s teams) will be present at one of the key stages of the SVNS World Championship. One that’s close to home: Valladolid’s José Zorrilla Stadium will host the competition from May 29 to 31 (and tickets are already on sale starting at €26).
In total, 24 national teams will face off and compete, showcasing the best rugby at the three final venues. This will take place after their stop in Hong Kong (April 17–19) and before the grand final in Bordeaux (June 5–7). The goal? To determine which teams will claim the world title. The Leonas and the Leones will be both hosts and competitors at the Valladolid event.

The ‘Seven’ format is a demanding discipline, featuring teams of seven players and fast-paced, high-intensity matches lasting 14 minutes (two 7-minute halves) with a two-minute halftime break. This means high-speed sprints, sudden changes of direction, and constant strategy. In these decisive rounds, the tension rises.

In the men’s category, the participating teams will be South Africa, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, France, Argentina, Spain, Great Britain, the USA, Kenya, Germany, and Uruguay.
As for the women’s tournament, New Zealand, Australia, the USA, France, Canada, Fiji, Japan, Great Britain, Argentina, Spain, South Africa, and Brazil.
In total, 24 teams will face off in Valladolid (12 men’s, 12 women’s) seeking to claim the championship title.
