Creole gastronomy is part of Peru’s cultural legacy. The traditional dishes of this unique country fuse Asian, African, European and South American flavors, demonstrating the great influence of the constant migrations that all the Andean lands suffered centuries ago.
Peruvian food stands out for the freshness and quality of the raw materials with which it is prepared: with the products of its coasts, jungles and prairies, recipes for all tastes are prepared. In Madrid there are many restaurants that offer this type of gastronomy, to the point that Creole tapas have their own festival.
The Peruvian Tapas Festival celebrates its second edition until Sunday, October 6 to honor the best dishes from the Andean country. Fifteen Peruvian restaurants in the capital will offer their star appetizer, a ceviche tapa, a beer and a Pisco Sour for 12 euros.
Ceviche will be the star dish of this edition, as it celebrates one year as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. During the festival it can be tasted in more than ten very original ways, and of course, in its most traditional version.
