Do you remember that summer when everyone took to the streets with their smartphones with the sole goal of “catching ’em all”? Pokémon GO, the phenomenon that sparked a true global revolution in 2016, is back in a big way with an exclusive event designed to thrill fans of these pocket-sized creatures.
On July 11 and 12, Pokémon GO Fest 2026 will hit screens around the world with a clear goal: to offer all its users—both those who go on raids every day and those who’ve put their Trainer’s backpack aside for a while—the opportunity to come together and experience a unique adventure.
Mega-Mewtwo and Zeraora are coming to Pokémon GO

Pokémon GO Fest 2026 will mark the highly anticipated debut of Mega-Mewtwo X and Mega-Mewtwo Y in the new Super Mega Raids. These are high-level battles where, in addition to earning valuable Mega Energy X or Y, you’ll be able to catch a Mewtwo with the first Mega Level unlocked by default—and with a little luck, even Levels 2 or 3.
Plus, the event will feature a free special research quest with exciting discoveries, where players can help Professor Willow solve an intergalactic mystery that will lead them to cross paths with Zeraora, the Lightning Pokémon. So get your Poké Balls ready!
Nine hours of excitement

This Pokémon GO event will run all weekend, allowing anyone to join the celebration. During these two days, users will have access to the following features:
- Themed habitats: You’ll encounter rare Pokémon from all 18 types, offering the widest variety of Pokémon to date.
- Higher chances of Shiny Pokémon: a golden opportunity for collectors, as the appearance rate of the coveted Shiny Pokémon will increase.
- Bonuses and Rewards: Global community challenges with additional in-game bonuses and limited-time research tasks that will yield unique rewards.
To participate and join millions of Trainers from around the world for this historic weekend, all you need is the app downloaded on your phone, an active account, and an internet connection.
🗓️ Date: Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2026.
