Our capital city stands out for its wide gastronomic offer, ranging from taverns and traditional bars to restaurants with international projection and fame. The latter group includes DiverXO. With three Michelin stars and the motto “avant-garde or die”, this restaurant of DabizMuñoz has revolutionized the world of haute cuisine. Not only for the originality of the dishes found there, but also for the price of the famous tasting menu offered to its diners. According to El País the price of the trip , starting in September, will be450 euros per person, a high cost (to say the least) for what the average Spaniard can afford, but at the same time, competitive in the European comparison.
Until now, the DiverXO menu was worth 365 euros. Within two months, it will be pricing well above what Spanish restaurants in its category have set. Enjoy which won the first place in the competition The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, offers menus for 295 euros. Etxebarri Grill the second best restaurant in the world, does not raise it from 280.
Muñoz moves away from his national competitors and approaches others, also very powerful, from different areas of Europe and the United States, such as the Parisian L’Arpège, of chef Alain Passard. In the latter, the preferred menu of the house (Terre & Mer) costs490€.
Dabiz Muñoz, an archiprized chef

There are many chefs in the world with three Michelin stars. What is more difficult is to find a chef who has been awarded three consecutive times as best in the world at The Best Chef Awards, as is the case of Dabiz Muñoz. His international recognition has allowed him to open great restaurants in Madrid and Dubai, such as StreetXO o RavioXO.
The DiverXO experience
If there’s one thing that characterizes DiverXO is your creative freedom. For this reason, its tasting menu is different every day. Everything changes: there is no menu with fixed options. Many of the star creations with which Muñoz has surprised his diners are dishes that taste of the sea, such as the Kakigori of ceviche or his Drunken crabs partying in Jerez.
To reserve a table it is necessary to purchase a ticket through the web page of the site. This ticket is used to pay for both the reservation and the tasting menu. From Tuesday to Friday you can enjoy the restaurant’s culinary experience, either for lunch or dinner. From Saturday to Monday, at least in September, the premises will be closed to the public.
Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance and, in the event of having to cancel the visit, the ticket amount is only refunded if notice is given at least two days before the chosen date. At the moment, all passes are sold out until September 3, so those who want to live the DiverXO experience this summer will have to sign up for the waiting list.
