Sonny Angels fever has taken hold in Spain. These funny dolls with hats on their heads and bare buttocks have conquered celebrities like Rosalía or Ana Rosa Quintana, who show their small collection of little angels through social networks. The funny thing is that the trend of wearing this toy as an amulet has come a little late to the peninsula. Sonny Angels are not new: they were invented by a Japanese man named Toru Soeya in 2004, and have been revalued twenty years later thanks (of course) to TikTok.
With this fun craze, bazaars have started selling little boxes of Sonny Angels. While the originals can cost around 50 euros, the imitation ones cost less than 5 euros per unit. Whether imitation or original, they are increasingly difficult to find in physical stores. Luckily for the people of Madrid, La Fresería de la calle Santa Isabel is going to give away these dolls to celebrate the opening of its new store in the capital. It will do so on Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30 from 6:00 pm. Yes, just in the week of Black Friday.
To get a Sonny Angel at La Fresería all you have to do is buy one of their glasses of natural strawberries. We can add sauces and toppings of our choice: condensed milk, pistachio cream, dark chocolate, nuts, crumbled lotus cookies and a long list of sweet touches. In addition, if we get a little angel with a strawberry-shaped hat, the snack is completely free.
