It goes without saying that Madrid has no coastline, but it does have excellent fish thanks to the world’s second-largest fish market, after Tokyo’s. In addition, there are occasional events that promote seafood from specific regions of Spain.
This month, from October 8 to 25, 2026, the Las Rozas Multipurpose Center—the local bullring—will host a new edition of the Seafood Fair, with Galicia taking center stage. And here’s a special bonus: admission is free.
The event is organized by the Galician company Degustación DEMAR, in collaboration with the Las Rozas City Council since 2003. For more than two weeks, the fair will highlight the quality and variety of Galician seafood.
Hours, location, and dining with seniors

The menu will feature various cooking styles: fried dishes, grilled dishes, boiled seafood, and rice dishes. There will also be artisanal breads and a varied selection of beverages. The event aims to turn Las Rozas into a gathering place for those who enjoy seafood, including both local residents and visitors from other parts of the Community of Madrid.
Beyond simply sitting down to eat, the fair will have a festive and family-friendly atmosphere: City Hall has announced that there will be recreational activities and music to accompany the event. The event will also offer takeout options, a convenient choice for those who want to stop by to buy seafood, fried foods, or Galician specialties without staying to eat on the premises.
Hours are Monday through Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the fair stays open until 11:00 p.m. You can go for lunch, dinner, or a mid-afternoon snack if you’d rather avoid peak hours.
During the fair, a luncheon is also planned for approximately“400 senior citizens,” according to the organizers, and the mayor of Las Rozas will also be in attendance.
