It’s not every day you have the opportunity to listen live to the most popular songs of Louis Armstrong or B .B. King in an authentic 1920’s club atmosphere. With The Jazz Room, Madrid expands its jazz tradition with a series of unforgettable nights where jazz and improvisation are mixed with the pleasure of having a drink.
What is The Jazz Room?
It is a live music experience in Madrid in which a band of four to six musicians perform jazz, soul or blues classics. It takes place in a bar set up like the New Orleans clubs of the 1920s, with dim lights, tables near the stage and drinks available during the performance. There are solos, there is improvisation and, above all, there is a good atmosphere!
The Jazz Room Madrid: What concerts are there now?

A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans
Jazz was born in New Orleans and forever changed the history of music. It was made to improvise, to break the rules and for each musician to put his own accent. A spirit of freedom that will come to life in these incredible concerts, with a repertoire ranging from Louis Armstrong to Fats Waller, and recovering classics like When the Saints Go Marching In or Ain’t Misbehavin’.
Tribute to the Blues
Fewthings have influenced the music of the 20th century as much as the blues. Emerging in the American South around 1860, it was the African-American community’s way of telling their harsh reality. Nowthis tribute looks to its roots with a repertoire that goes through Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters or B.B. King, and includes songs like The Thrill is Gone or Crossroads.
Tribute to Soul
With a mix between gospel and R&B, soul began to sound at the end of the 50’s by the hand of the African-American communities. Joyful songs with rhythm and feeling whose melodic roots come from the church, but whose lyrics deal with everyday stories. And now some of those songs like Marvin Gaye’ s Let’s Get It On or Aretha Franklin’s Respect come back to sound with this tribute to one of the musical genres par excellence.
Tribute to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong
The emotional force of jazz unfolds here through the irresistible contrast between Sinatra’s warmth and Armstrong’s exuberant expressiveness. Each arrangement relives key moments in the history of the genre, when swing transformed the way stories were told and improvisation became a gesture of creative freedom.
