Did you know that there are Formula 1 cars that run at more than 320 km/h without a drop of gasoline? 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds? The electric speed will be felt again next spring in Madrid Formula E World Championship, the great world championship of electric single-seaters of the ABB FIA: it will be on March 21 at the Madrid Jarama-RACE circuit. Tickets are already on sale.
Madrid Formula E World comes to demonstrate that top speed and acceleration are not incompatible with sustainability. Beyond a race, it is a look at innovation and the future of this type of championships. A fusion of sport, technology and ecological awareness. A sign of this is the debut of the GEN3EVO car, “the most advanced electric racing car ever built”, in the words of Alberto Longo Co-Founder & Chief Championship Officer, Formula E.
Silent and futuristic Formula 1
The Madrid Jarama-Race circuit will not only host the competition: it will also be a celebration of cutting-edge technology and the love of speed and motoring, with the aim of “accelerating electric mobility in cities in the fight against climate change”, as the event organizers point out. For this reason, conferences on sustainability, electric mobility and green technology will be held around the race , bringing companies, universities and citizens closer to a cleaner and more efficient future.
Madrid is one of the cities through which this competition will pass in its 12th season, which will also be run in Sao Paulo, Miami, Mexico, Jeddah, Berlin, Monaco, Shanghai, Tokyo and London. The event will also feature food trucks, live music, karting circuit, simulators….
In addition to all this, the Girls on Track initiative (educational program provided by the FIA and Formula E) aims to connect motor racing with girls between 12 and 18 years old, exploring future career opportunities in this industry through workshops, lectures, immersive experiences…
