The Tutankhamun exhibition is about to end, buy your tickets at this link.
Never has the name of an exhibition been so eloquent; what you can see in the IFEMA 5.1 space is as clear as the headline: a recreation of Tutankhamun’s tomb. And its treasures, of course.
In other words, you can see what Howard Carter, British archaeologist and discoverer of Tutankhamun’s tomb, saw on November 4, 1922. An immersive experience spread over more than 2,000 square meters.
The three funerary chambers are reproduced throughout the space, as well as the more than 1,000 pieces that make up the treasure (including a precious jewel such as the gold mask). The exhibition was already a success before the confinement and continues to be in the top positions among the star plans of Madrid. For this reason, the exhibition has been maintained until January 2021, although there are few opportunities to visit it.
Don’t miss the Tutankhamun exhibition– last days!
This is not the first time that this exhibition comes to Madrid: it was already in the Casa de Campo in 2010 and more than 450,000 people passed through it. Now it has rotated around the world and has reached cities like Dublin, Munich or Paris and has been seen by more than six million people.
The exhibition arrived on November 23 at IFEMA’s Space 5.1 and will remain in the same place, as we have said, until January 2021. It is open from Thursday to Sunday. For more information about the opening hours you can visit this link. On the other hand, the general admission price is 15 € while for children from 4 to 12 years the price is 8 €.
