Access to decent housing seems to be mission impossible for those who want to become independent in Madrid. However, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda gives a truce to young people in this and many other municipalities: it commits to help with 250 euros to anyone between 18 and 35 years old who has a rental contract and a stable job.
The Bono de Alquiler Joven will reach all autonomous communities and cities except Navarra, the Basque Country, Ceuta and Melilla. It will do so differently in each territory. However, there will be a number of essential points which will be common to all the Zones of the country that join this initiative.
who can apply for this assistance?

Initially, the aid will only be granted to young people with legal residence in Spain who earn, at most, 24,318.84 euros per year. Annual salary requirements may change if the applicant has a disability or is a member of a large family. In these cases, the bonus can be obtained even if theestablished amount is exceeded three times.
The bonuswill be excluded for those who do not have a contract. At Osadía, 14 Calle Gran Vía 600 euros, nor could those paying rents of more than 600 euros apply for it. In the case of a shared room, the limit will be between 300 and 450 euros. In certain cases, agreements may be reached with the Monitoring Committee to cover rents of up to 900 euros.
A plan in place to address the housing crisis
This action is compatible with the State Housing Plan 2022-2025, which has, among other objectives, to expand the supply of affordable homes. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda has insisted on the need to improve the Housing Law and work on the development of the new plan for the period between 2025 and 2029, which will be prepared next semester.
