A real-life racing video game? For just three months, the Palacio de Hielo ice rink is hosting BattleKart, a 3,000-square-meter experience that brings the thrill of a video game to life at the speed of a real electric kart. Thanks to augmented reality, you’ll drive on a track projected directly onto the floor that reacts in real time to your movements. Get tickets for BattleKart here.

The best of karting and video games in a single experience
Presented by Spark Island, BattleKart differs from traditional karting because a system of smart projectors located on the ceiling projects the track and game elements directly onto the floor.

Aboard electric karts, players race on dynamic tracks where they can collect objects projected onto the asphalt. This way, you can launch projectiles to slow down your opponents, leave oil slicks to make them skid, or use a speed boost to overtake at the last second. The game detects the position of each kart in real time, applying immediate penalties—such as slowing the vehicle down—if you’re hit by an object.
Game modes for every taste
Although BattleRace is the star of the show, BattleKart offers a variety of game modes that go beyond simply being the first to cross the finish line:
- BattleFoot: a soccer match on wheels where you must kick a virtual ball toward the opposing goal.
- BattleVirus: a cooperative mode where players must work as a team to defeat a virus spreading across the track.
- BattleColor, BattlePool, and BattleSnake: versions inspired by classic video games adapted to the scale of the track.
Who is BattleKart for?
BattleKart is designed for groups of 2 to 12 participants per session, an ideal plan for doing something different with friends, for a unique date, or even a birthday celebration. Plus, one of its major advantages is convenience: since the karts are electric and feature a smart safety system, helmets or special suits aren’t required. You just need to be over 1.45 m tall to get behind the wheel.
How long does BattleKart last, and how much does it cost?
Each game session lasts 15 minutes, but since we know that adrenaline is addictive, we recommend combining several sessions in a row to enjoy it to the fullest and try out different game modes.

And the price? Individual tickets start at €17.90, with a 10% discount for groups of 12. In this case, you’ll have the option to book a private session to play on your own and keep the friendly rivalry at home.
