There’s a place in Madrid that combines high-end cuisine (and we mean that literally), one of Europe’s largest hanging gardens, and a 20-meter waterfall. We’re talking about Inhala Terraza, the rooftop terrace on the seventh floor of the Inhala Hotel Garden on San Bernardo Street. Called “Brunch by Inhala,” the experience unfolds on the hotel’s rooftop every Sunday from 12:00 p. m. to 2:30 p.m. What’s happening down on the street fades away from up here. The “culprit,” for the most part, isthe 1,000-square-meter hanging vertical garden, featuring more than 2,500 plants and an integrated waterfall—a green oasis that provides freshness, sound insulation, and that sense of a calm retreat without leaving the city center.

The noble art of brunch at Inhala Terrace
The views are just as spectacular as the flavors found on its extensive menu: you can catch a glimpse of Madrid’s Sierra Norte as you toast with the welcome drink, a glass of Juvé y Camps rosé cava. From there, the fun begins.
The feast features fresh, seasonal ingredients and begins with an assortment of sweet and savory items (cheeses and Iberian ham, seed bread and crystal bread toast, extra virgin olive oil, grated tomato, jam, butter, croissants, yogurt with honey, muesli, and berries). You can also choose from fresh-squeezed orange juice, mimosa, coffee, or tea.
Next up is one of our favorite (and most innovative) offerings in the noble art of brunch: the fresh pasta dish with guanciale and Parmesan. After that, it’s time to choose a main course from among the various Eggs Benedict options , the beef steak tartare, the marinated salmon bowl, or the burger.
The experience is rounded out with a dessert (your choice of three-cheese cake or fruit salad with yogurt foam). And all of this, with Madrid de los Austrias, Casa de Campo, and Plaza de España at our feet.
