Kids have so much energy and capacity for fun, that even in a cosmopolitan city like Madrid, a place to unleash it all was missing. But not anymore. Chaos Lab opens its doors in the Islazul Shopping Center (Carabanchel), a laboratory for the little ones to let their imagination fly while they have fun and learn. You can get your tickets here.
A secret: the first 200 people to present the ticket for Chaos Lab at El Desván Bakery (in the Islazul Shopping Center) will get a free snack: the cookies that this artisan bakery has prepared exclusively for the occasion.
The name of Chaos Lab makes perfect sense: it is a laboratory but it is also pure chaos, that is, it is learning by playing. And as in any good laboratory, an iconic character could not be missing: the hilarious and quirky Doctor Splat, the mad scientist who will help the little ones to solve and solve different scientific experiments. To do so, children will have to jump, play and go crazy with nine activities displayed in six immersive rooms.
What kind of tests and activities will we find in Chaos Lab?
In this space the freedom to create, transform, experiment and interact with space is infinite. The rooms and experiences inside are specially designed to encourage imagination and ingenuity: a laboratory of creation and experimentation through play, discovery and entertainment:
- Among the interactive activities, children will be able to team up with the Doctor Splat in an interactive science show, discovering scientific wonders and actively participating in experiments.
- In the Physics Lab, gravity and energy will be explored with different experiments (for the little ones as well as the older ones).
- The Planetary Laboratory is a place to explore the Earth, its resources and the concept of sustainability through games.
- The H20 Laboratory is used to analyze the power of water and understand the concept of dynamics with different structures.
- Chaos Pit is one of those places that will be hard to get the little ones to leave: a ball pool, with trampolines and scientific elements to understand concepts such as gravity, inertia or momentum.
In addition, Chaos Lab has a café at the end of the tour for the warrior’s (or scientist’s?) rest so necessary after such a waste of adrenaline. Inside, the Chaos Pit will allow the most active players to continue playing. There is also a store with different games and even accessories for setting up a laboratory at home.
In short, Chaos Lab is a playful experience, suitable for all children (from 4 years old) who feel creative, where they can play and experiment spontaneously and freely. A place where they can try, experiment, get to know each other better and test themselves. All this through fun shows and interactive experiments.
