The Central Patio Condeduque (Condeduque Street, 11) yesterday began to transform into a winter canvas, in which technology and art are intertwined to create a particular glass Christmas.
From 26 to 30 December, between 19:00 and 23:00 hours, Madrid and visitors can immerse themselves for free in the umpteenth interactive experience that comes to the capital. ‘Crystal Christmas’ is an installation by Miguel Chevalier that redefines the boundaries between the physical and digital world.
Chevalier, an international pioneer in digital art, takes inspiration from the delicate geometry of snowflakes to orchestrate a fascinating visual choreography. Under the influence of advanced technology and artificial intelligence, the courtyard becomes a tapestry of reflections and crystalline forms that are born, turn, change color and fade to the rhythm of the steps and movements of the audience.
The proposal, organized by the Madrid City Council under the umbrella of the Madrid activities program, is not only a contemporary and poetic ode to Christmas, but also an invitation to explore the inexhaustible potential of digital art. “‘Crystal Christmas’ represents a unique opportunity to experience the work of an artist who continues to redefine the boundary between the physical and digital world,” they emphasize from the consistory.
