Artists from different disciplines invade the streets of Madrid thanks to 21 Distritos, an initiative that takes the cultural life of the capital to all its corners. In September it kicks off with a circus troupe in Aluche, a traveling music studio and many more surprises. The best thing: most of the activities are free.
The imaginary universe of Ale Hop
The company Ale Hopwill bring on September 21 (19:30 hours) to the Calle Guareña (Latina district) his show Imagina Circo. Fairies, elves, wizards, giants and many other creatures come together to create an exciting showin which characterization takes on great importance: the characters wear incredible costumes from which it is difficult to look away, full of color and impossible shapes. Its particular aesthetic transports to a fictitious world not defined in time, and fills with life every corner it reaches.
Ale Hop has been animating the streets of Madrid for more than 35 years with his magical shows. It has traveled all over Europe and currently can boast of being one of the circus groups with more international projection in Spain. It has won two important awards: thePlanetary Carnival of Circus (Saint Petersburg) and the Prize of the Public in The World Festival of Clowns (Yekaterinburg).
Music on Wheels
On September 29, the Tetuán district will host a caravan aimed at music experimentation. It is La C.O.S.A (Centro Organizado de Sonido Ambulante), a studio on wheels to which Chico Trópico, a collective of artists who experiment with Latin rhythms, will bring their best musicians. It will be all morning (from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) in the Remonta square.
