“Recycle, reuse and reduce” with this leitmotiv Erre que Erre synthesizes the reason for the event to be held this Saturday, March 15. The operation is simple: attendees can bring between 1 and 10 garments in good condition to exchange them for others. The garments must be clean and in good condition, without stains or tears. In addition, any garment that does not find a new owner will be donated to charity. This system not only extends the useful life of the garments, but also reduces the environmental impact of fast fashion.
This third edition of Erre que Erre will take place at Nave Bellver (Travesía Bellver, 2, Tetuán) from 11:00 to 14:00. The price to participate in the exchange of clothes that promotes responsible consumption and circular economy is 10 € and can be purchased at this link. It is an effective way to make a change of closet, in which besides getting rid of what you no longer wear, you can take something that interests you more.
Clothes exchange in Madrid
Clara and Melanie, the creators of Erre que Erre, got the idea from a similar event that takes place in London, the Swap Rebelion, which in essence is also a clothing exchange market.
As in past editions, the event is not limited to the exchange of clothes. It will also feature a pop-up where small local brands will offer products such as jewelry, ceramics, flowers and handmade fashion. In addition, there will be slack x placeo specialty coffee and live screen printing activities will be added.
This event is a unique opportunity to renew your closet, support small local businesses and contribute to a more sustainable fashion.
