With the message “La Pegatina is back, 12/12 at 12” all the alerts were lit on Instagram. Lately, the audience is already used to follow these “clues” of their favorite bands; also artists play with videos, comments and posts to generate noise and desire. In the case of La Pegatina, they didn’t play with us: they said it clearly and gave us certain clues with that video in which the iconic green awnings of Madrid’s neighborhoods were glimpsed, for example. And so it is: they will give two concerts at La Riviera on May 22 and 23. Tickets are already on sale:
It was an October 5, 2024 when La Pegatina held the last concert in Madrid. A farewell party called “Hasta luego, Mari Carmen (tu hijo está en el after hour)” in which they sang all their iconic songs and asked for a year off. A break to take a breath and rethink the band after twenty unstoppable and tireless years. From this live performance they released an album (¡Que siga la fiesta!) that helped their fans to cope with this momentary absence. They also made a promise: they would return in 2026 with a new album under their arms.
Although we still don’t have that musical bread under our belts, we do know the first dates of their next tour with which they more than keep their promise: in May, La Pegatina will return to Madrid with two back-to-back concerts at La Riviera.
