A few days before the Christmas lights are turned on and with temperatures dropping drastically, Apple celebrates its 40th anniversary in Spain with a free concert in Puerta del Sol. Next Wednesday, November 19 at 8 p.m., some of the most influential voices of today’s music will gather in the center of Madrid under the slogan “El Encuentro” (The Gathering). The event has been conceived as a tribute to Spanish culture and creativity, and will feature Dellafuente, Amaia, Israel Fernández and Yerai Cortés, who will share the stage in an unprecedented show for the Madrid public.
Access will be completely free for anyone who wants to come; but keep in mind that a massive attendance is expected and that there will be capacity controls by the police. The square will be transformed for the occasion with a large stage in front of the iconic Apple store, a building that also houses part of the most important offices of the multinational in the country.
Free concert at Puerta del Sol: Amaia, Dellafuente and others
The artistic line-up could be that of a festival: Dellafuente, known for his mix of urban sounds and Andalusian roots; Amaia, the most versatile pop voice on the scene; Israel Fernández, a profound renovator of flamenco, and Yerai Cortés, a virtuoso of the guitar and fusion with electronics and musical documentary. Together, they will shape a collective tribute to the plurality, emotion and avant-garde that characterize local culture and its connection to music.
Little Spain, C.Tangana’s production company, collaborates with the American technology company in the organization of this event, in which most of the participating artists have collaborated in one way or another with the artist from Madrid.
The night will be, in addition to musical, an act of celebration and recognition of the connection between technology and local culture. One more reason to come to Puerta del Sol this Wednesday and be part of a global party designed with a Spanish accent.
