Anyone who has tried to get tickets for a major concert lately knows that seeing your favorite artist live costs—financially and emotionally—blood, sweat, and tears. Rosalía is one of those artists, and the saying takes on a more literal meaning in our region than ever before: the Community of Madrid has announced that it will raffle off tickets to her concert among those who donate blood and plasma this week.
The initiative, which aims to“secure the necessary donations to
maintain reserves at optimal levels during Holy Week,”is taking place at the Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Valdebernardo (Avenida de las Comunidades at the corner of Avenida de la Democracia, s/n) from this Monday through Sunday, March 22.
As a thank you for this act of solidarity—which, in addition to enabling transfusions, helps produce medications that benefit approximately 6,000 patients—the Community of Madrid “will raffle off two tickets to Rosalía’s concert taking place on March 30 at the Movistar Arena.”
For reference, prices for Rosalía’s concert in Madrid on official ticket resale platforms currently range from €104.70 for general admission seats, starting at €348 for VIP 3 tickets, and from €374.71 for Platinum tickets.
Requirements for donating and how to sign up

The requirements for donating plasma and blood are the same: you must be of legal age, weigh more than 50 kilograms, and be in good health. The Community of Madrid encourages everyone who meets these conditions “to make this gesture of solidarity at least twice a year.”
On the other hand, the procedure for obtaining plasma—plasmapheresis—takes about 40 minutes and allows for a quick recovery, so you can donate again after just 48 hours. To do so, you must make an appointment by calling 91 301 72 40 or by emailing donarplasma@salud.madrid.org.
They also have a toll-free information line for donors: 900 30 35 30.
