Majadahonda is gearing up for ten days of concerts, a medieval market, children’s activities, sports, bull runs, orchestras, and sky shows. The Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Santísimo Cristo de los Remedios will be held from September 11 to 20, with Nil Moliner, Funambulista, Efecto Mariposa, Besmaya, Siempre Así, and a tribute to Mecano among the headliners.
One of the most anticipated moments will take place on Saturday, September 12: around 400 drones will draw luminous figures in the sky starting at 9:30 p.m. The show can be viewed from the Fairgrounds and Adolfo Suárez Park; it will be free and will be held for the third consecutive year.
The official kickoff will take place on Friday, September 11, with the opening address delivered from the balcony of City Hall. This year, Rayo Majadahonda will deliver the address, marking the start of ten days of programming spread across the Fairgrounds, Colón Park, Plaza de la Constitución, Gran Vía, and other venues throughout the city.
Drones and Efecto Mariposa

Saturday, September 12, brings together two of the highlights of the first weekend. At 9:30 p.m., some 400 drones will fly over Majadahonda to create a choreographed display of luminous figures synchronized to music. The viewing area will be located in Adolfo Suárez Park and in the upper section of the Fairgrounds.
Afterward, at 10:00 p.m., Efecto Mariposa will perform at Colón Park. The Málaga-based band, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, will perform songs such as “Por quererte,” “No me crees,” and “El mundo” as part of a free concert.
That same day will also feature the traditional concert by the Municipal Band, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the bandstand in Plaza de la Constitución.
Nil Moliner, Funambulista, and Besmaya
Music will continue to set the pace for the week. Funambulista will perform on Friday, September 18, at 10:00 p.m., sharing the stage with the Panorama Orchestra—also scheduled for 10:00 p.m.—as well as the Anaconda Orchestra and DJ Guillermo Ventura.
On Saturday , September 19 , it will be Nil Moliner’s turn , scheduled for 10:00 p.m., alongside Siempre Así and the Malassia Orchestra. The night will continue with DJ Miguel Dejota.
The musical finale will take place on Sunday, September 20, with Besmaya performing at 7:00 p.m. The program also includes a tribute concert to Mecano, *Hija de la Luna*, on Thursday, September 17, and family-friendly events such as *Kids Rock Family* on Sunday, September 14.
Medieval Market and Family Activities
The festivities won’t be limited to the concerts. From September 17 to 19, Gran Vía and the Jardinillos area will host a medieval market featuring craft stalls, food vendors, and parades.
The program includes activities for children, teens, and families, such as shows, games, workshops, parades, and sports activities. The competitions will begin on September 5 with the 36th Tennis Championship and will continue throughout the festival with tournaments and exhibitions in various sports.
The Patron Saint Festivities will conclude on Sunday, September 20. At 11:00 p.m., Cerro de la Mina will host a fireworks display, followed by the traditional “Pobre de mí” celebration, organized by the La Majada club.
