Chamartín has everything ready to celebrate the Fiestas de San Miguel 2025, which will take place this weekend (from the 25th to the 28th). There will be four days of neighborhood celebrations, culture, sports and live music in different parts of the district, with the Berlin Park as the epicenter of the concerts and the most multitudinous activities.
The opening speech will be given by the director of the School of Industrial Engineering of the UPM, Sergio Domínguez, who will be accompanied by representatives of the faculty and students to commemorate the 175 years of the profession.
The councilor of the district, Yolanda Estrada, has highlighted the inclusive, safe and participatory nature of the festivities that seek to combine neighborhood enjoyment with respect for rest and coexistence.
Concerts and activities for all audiences
One of the highlights of the program is made up of free concerts in the Berlin Park. On Thursday 25, after the opening speech, will perform the Madrid group Yacaré and Momo Cortés with his tribute to Queen. On Friday it will be the turn of Polo Nández from León (21:00 h) and the popular DJ Pulpo (23:00 h). On Saturday, the young singer-songwriter Paula Mattheus will offer her indie-pop proposal, followed by DJ Santi Díaz.
On Sunday 28, the music will say goodbye with the flamenco pop group Sabor de Ventas and the band Indica, with pop rock versions. In addition, throughout the weekend there will be a busy family agenda that includes circus, magic, escape room, a children’s disco, the traditional foam party and the Speed Painting Contest. Safe and inclusive leisure in the heart of the neighborhood
With the aim of ensuring safe and accessible festivities for all, the City Council has announced the distribution of 5,000 anti-chemical imbibing bracelets, equipped with sensors capable of detecting drugs in drinks. Two silent hours will also be implemented on Sunday 28 (from 16:30 to 18:30 h) to facilitate the participation of people with sensory hypersensitivity or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The attractions and booths will close in a staggered manner between midnight and 1:30 am, in coordination with the end of Metro service. The district’s businesses will distribute more than a thousand invitations to the attractions, in a joint action that reinforces the involvement of the local fabric in the festivities.
In the sports section, there will be paddle tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer 7-a-side, indoor soccer and badminton tournaments, as well as the celebration of the International Chess Simultaneous on Sunday morning in the Pablo Sorozábal gardens.
