There are initiatives that revitalize neighborhoods, bring them together, and make them more welcoming for their residents. Moratalaz is set to host La Castiza Food Fest this Thursday, a festival that opens on October 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cuña Verde fairgrounds and runs through Sunday, October 4. For four days, local businesses, associations, and community groups will take over the space to share food, live music, and activities for all ages.
The culinary offerings will include “los minutejos”-style sandwiches from Palique, empanadas from Empanarte, torreznos from Vinateros 28, tortillas from La Platera, and a dish of tripe, snout, and trotter from La Fábrica de Asturias.
