There is a whole tourist model around Christmas that varies according to latitude. The tradition of the northern European markets are in themselves a reason for pilgrimage for many people who go to countries like Germany. They do so during December precisely to encounter these scenes of mulled wine, sausages and Christmas crafts.
And in the capricious globalization we inhabit, not even that is something that cannot be imported to Madrid. The German Evangelical Church, an iconic and somewhat unknown building located in the heart of Castellana, hosts another year its traditional Christmas bazaar.
Tickets are already on sale and can be consulted on their website. For the time being, the market will be held on the following days:
- November 29 from 18 to 22h
- November 30 from 14 to 22h
- December 1st from 12 to 16h
The German Evangelical Church itself (Paseo de la Castellana, 6. Metro Colón) informs about what will be there and the wide variety includes objects as different as books, jewelry, gifts, second-hand clothes, tombola, Christmas decorations, toys, Advent wreaths, hot spiced wine or German specialties.
