The Getafe 2025 Festivities begin tomorrow and will last until June 15. This year they have a varied and powerful program, with free concerts by big names such as El Arrebato, Biznaga, Los Zigarros, Juicy Bae, Veintiuno and Shaila Dúrcal, as well as activities for all audiences, parades, evenings and lots of music in different areas of the city.
El Arrebato will be one of the highlights, performing for free on Saturday June 7 at the Recinto Ferial, where bands such as Biznaga and Los Zigarros (Friday June 6), Bon Calso and Juicy Bae (Sunday 8), and Veintiuno (Monday 9, a city holiday) will also perform. All concerts at the Recinto Ferial are free access, without admission, until full capacity is reached. On Wednesday, June 11, it will be the turn of the family audience with the Dubbi Kids concert, and every night, after the concerts, there will be DJ sessions to extend the party.
The Town Hall Square hosts its own agenda with orchestras, tributes (such as La Oreja de Van Gogh) and the expected performance of Shaila Dúrcal on Sunday, June 8. As a novelty this year, the Recinto Joven at the Juan de la Cierva sports center will offer DJ sessions on June 7, 13 and 14, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am. In addition, the Lorenzo Azofra Park adds musical proposals scheduled by the legendary Fender Club.
Other activities of the Getafe Festivities
The city recovers the festive atmosphere during the day with the new Feria del Tardeo: the bars of the center will take their bars to the street on June 8, 9, 14 and 15, with brass bands and eighties music from the afternoon until the evening. The program is completed with the traditional Bajada de la Virgen (May 29), the proclamation (June 7), the parade of floats (Saturday, June 14), family activities, children’s ecological running of the bulls, sports competitions and tribute concerts at the Fender Club.
