Glamping, sky bubbles, continentals tents and cabins are now common words in the search for getaways near Madrid. It’s not just about getting out of the city for a few days to clear your mind, it’s also about experiencing something different, with enough charm to take you slightly out of the comfort of your home, but without having to go far away. They arrived as a fad, but have established themselves as a new way of getting to know the rural attraction.
1. Glamping in El Toril
In El Toril you will have the feeling of having crossed half the world, but you will only be an hour and a quarter from the center of Madrid. Its Continentals Tents have the spirit of a luxury safari, but with views of a private lake and the Gredos mountain range. It’s the perfect opportunity to make a good hiking route and return to the store for a relaxing bath, or even a spa session.

2. Monte Holiday cabins
At Monte Holiday they make every child’s dream come true: sleeping in a tree cabin. In the valley of Alto Lozoya, and with spectacular views of the Sierra Norte del Guadarrama these original lodgings, integrated in nature and built imitating birds’ nests, are located in the area.
In fact, one of its great attractions is being able to fall asleep to the song of the tawny owl or read a book to the nocturnal melody of the night owl. Nothing better to get started in ornithology or at least to appreciate and learn more about Madrid’s environment.
