To extend the dinner or to have a late dinner is probably one of the most intrinsically Spanish things. So much so that tourists find it difficult to adapt to the local timetables and the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has proposed a change of timetables in the hotel and catering industry.
While the reality is that people here continue to meet at 10 p.m. for dinner and many times it is followed by an after-dinner meal in the wee hours of the morning. Whether it is because you are looking for a place to continue having a drink after 12 o’clock or because late nights make you hungry, in these restaurants the schedule is stretched as much as possible and legal.
