Getting training to find a job can be difficult when you don’t have a job or your own income. The Community of Madrid has updated its financial assistance program for unemployed young people under the age of 30 with the aim of enabling more people to receive financial support while taking training courses designed to improve their job prospects.
The most significant change affects the income criterion. The maximum threshold for applying for the aid has now been raised from three to six times the Public Multiple Income Indicator (IPREM), which considerably expands the number of potential beneficiaries. For those whose income does not exceed three times the IPREM, the grant is doubled, rising from 1,500 to 3,000 euros.
Training vouchers, advance payment, and application deadline

The assistance is provided through training checks or vouchers, which beneficiaries can use to pay for courses tailored to their skills and interests, as determined following a guidance process at their local employment office. Eligible training programs must last at least 10 hours and cannot be considered a one-day workshop or conference.
Only one application per person per year is allowed, and it must be submitted within one month of the date of enrollment or reservation of a spot. To help applicants with cash flow, the new regulations allow for an advance payment of 30% of the granted amount before the training is completed, with the remainder paid upon completion.
How and When to Apply
The application period for this assistance will begin as soon as the regulations are published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) and will close on December 10.
The application process is handled through the regional government’s Digital Administration portal, which you can access via the following link.
