The first edition of the 2026 Film Festival will return to nearly fifty theaters in the Community of Madrid over four days to encourage the public to visit theaters with its specially low prices: from June 8 to 11, tickets to see the entire lineup on the big screen will cost just €3.50.
The event, which originated in France more than 30 years ago, was held for the first time in our country in 2009, and by 2013 it had already become a cinematic phenomenon capable of drawing more than a million moviegoers in just three days.
Cinemas across the country are participating in this initiative promoted by the film industry, which takes place every six months and for which, for some time now, it has no longer been necessary to obtain prior accreditation: simply select the desired tickets for the dates on which the discount applies.
In the specific case of Madrid, a total of 47 cinemas throughout the region will join in these days of affordable cinema for this year’s first edition of the Fiesta del Cine.
