From October 8 to 12, 2025 Alcalá de Henares celebrates one of the most important events of the year for the city -and for those who like period markets-: its traditional Cervantino Market, which returns with more than 300 stalls.
To invoke the atmosphere of the Golden Age, in addition to enjoying daily shows throughout the historic center, visitors will be able to meet carpenters, coopers, knights, ladies and other period characters.
The festival, declared of National Tourist Interest, will have as a novelty this year a giant puppet of the French company Paris Benares, which will walk around the area on October 9 and 10.
From medieval jousting to a Celtic music festival.

One of the central points of this Cervantino Market will be the Medieval Jousting in the Orchard of the Archbishop’s Palace. In order to attend the show it is necessary to purchase a ticket: until September 30 they are priced at 10 €, and from then on they will cost 12 €.
The music will again have a leading role, one more year, thanks to the Celtic Music Festival. On this occasion, Treefolk (October 8), Upsasa (October 9), Carlos Núñez (October 10) and Thetaliskerband (October 11) will perform.
As usual, the program will also include a faithful recreation of the Tercio Viejo Camp of the Spanish infantry, with parades and demonstrations.
Where does the Alcalá Cervantino Market take place?

The market is installed in the historic center of the city, including locations such as the Plaza de San Diego, Plaza de Cervantes, Plaza de los Santos Niños and Plaza de Palacio, Calle Mayor, Calle San Juan and Calle de Sandoval y Rojas.
