When summer arrives in Madrid, the thermometers rarely give us a break, but luckily, the capital has a place where water and adrenaline combine to offer the best way to beat the heat: Aquopolis in Villanueva de la Cañada.
This season, the park is expanding its offerings with the debut of Kilauea, a spectacular new water roller coaster that’s one of a kind in Europe. And so you can enjoy the experience to the fullest without having to worry about who’s driving, where to park, or how to plan your trip, this year the BusForFun mobility platform wants to make it easier than ever for you.
Kilauea: a new experience unique in Europe
This year, the park is unveiling Mana Nui, a new themed area inspired by the exotic Hawaiian culture, whose crown jewel is, without a doubt, Kilauea.
Inspired by the power of the legendary volcano, this impressive new attraction is an incredible water roller coaster featuring a structure nearly 10 meters tall and a 180-meter-long track where the rafts—which seat up to 4 people—reach speeds of up to 35 km/h. That’s quite a ride!
In addition to this major debut, Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada continues to feature more than 15 water attractions designed for all ages: from the iconic and must-try Pistas Blandas to the dizzying twists of Waikiki Jungle and the impressive Boomerang. Many of them are also adapted for younger children.
BusForFun takes you straight to the park
Specializing in connecting people with their favorite experiences (music festivals, theme parks, leisure activities, etc.) through direct transportation services, BusForFun has just launched—as a special, limited-time offer— a direct bus service from Plaza de Castilla to Aquopolis in Villanueva de la Cañada.
That way, your only task will be to make sure you pack sunscreen in your backpack and decide which slide you’ll start your park adventure on. In just 30 minutes, you’ll be right at the park gates, ready to make the most of the entire day.
Service schedules, frequencies, and reservations:
- Departure point: Plaza de Castilla (Madrid) at 11:30 a. m.
- Return from Aquopolis in Villanueva de la Cañada: at 8:00 p.m. (the perfect time to enjoy the water until the very last ray of sunshine).
- July Schedule: Departures available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- August Schedule: Daily service Monday through Sunday!
