The blackout that left the whole of Spain without electricity on April 28th has put the capital on alert. The uncertainty generated by the situation invites us to reflect on the importance of being self-sufficient and to resume the habit of buying utensils such as radios (which worked when traffic lights and trains did not) or packs of candles. Also to keep informed about the power cuts that may affect Madrid’s municipalities in the coming months.
Power cuts throughout the Community of Madrid
The Iberdrola Group has published on its website a report showing the streets where there will be power cuts between May 3 and 9 “to improve their services”. Residents of the affected areas are advised to avoid maintenance work at home in the time slots that coincide with the scheduled outages.
