From that idea comes Prison Island, the new experience that has arrived at X-Madrid, the shopping and entertainment center in Alcorcón located just 15 minutes from the capital’s downtown. It all begins at the reception desk of Spark Island Alcorcón, decorated to look like a1920s English police station; from there, you walk through a revolving door, and Prison Island begins.
You have to escape, yes, but there are so many games and combinations that it feels like you’re inside a video game rather than at X-Madrid.

What is Prison Island all about?
What makes this experience unique? It’s neither a single space nor a linear one, which is why this concept is so different from the traditional escape room. There are 27 cells (or rooms), each with a different physical, mental, or technical challenge. The facade and reception area (Spark Island) are styled after a 1920s English police station, Peaky Blinders-style; from there, you pass through a revolving door to enter the prison, which is the game itself. There’s no single path or one way to win—instead, each team freely chooses which challenges to tackle and in what order, thus creating its own strategy.
From Sweden to Alcorcón: a phenomenon taking the world by storm
Prison Island originated in a former factory in Västerås, Sweden, and today it’s present in more than 20 countries, on track to exceed 200 locations worldwide. This venue at X-Madrid is also the largest of its kind in the entire Community of Madrid, with capacity for 100 players at a time.
