It’s the first thing you see when you visit their website: “Just awarded Best Burger in the World 2026!!!! [sic]”. And it’s no wonder: Hundred Burgers, the Valencian burger joint founded in February 2020 by Alex González-Urbón and Ezequiel Maldjian, has just made history on the prestigious list The World’s Best Burgers—the Michelin Guide to burgers—by becoming the first to claim the top spot in the rankings for the third consecutive year.
The competition’s jury chose Hundred’s burgers after tasting 1,346 burger joints in 65 countries, highlighting“its strong emphasis on craftsmanship and its constant willingness to evolve, making it the benchmark for the rest of the world’s burger restaurants.”
That craftsmanship is evident in the daily, homemade preparation of all the ingredients for their burgers: from baking their demi-brioche buns every morning to grinding the dry-aged Galician blonde beef used in their burgers.
For González-Urbón, the recognition is “sufficient justification for the daily effort
of the more than two hundred people who make up the Hundred team,” to which Maldjian adds: “We must thank our entire team and suppliers; they are the true world champions.”
The success of Hundred’s burgers

According to the jury’s review of Hundred, during their visit to one of the restaurant’s locations in Madrid, they ordered their favorite, the “Loser,” the double “Satisfaction” burger, and the limited-edition “Paul Finch, ” among others.
In addition to the flavor—which they described in their review as “after taking the first bite, it was hard to stop eating the burgers […] it was almost magical”—they also highlighted their “incredibly affordable price, between 10 and 15 euros each.”
On the other hand, Spain’s representation doesn’t end with Hundred: Madrid’s BDP has also ranked 21st, Briochef—which has climbed to 15th place—and Soul Coffee, another burger joint from Valencia that has managed to sneak into the top 10.
