We know: you still haven’t plopped down on Central Perk’s iconic orange couch or shouted PIVOT! with your buddies on the Ross stairs, and you thought there was no more time . The immersive FRIENDS™ exhibition at IFEMA, which was entering its final weeks a month ago, has extended its dates…so there’s still time to experience it. Walk through Monica and Rachel’s apartment, play foosball in Chandler and Joey’s apartment and live an episode from the inside. Get your tickets here.
Inside, we will find Monica’s apartment and also Joey and Chandler’s living room, although, as in the series, everything will end up belonging to everyone: you will be able to explore them, take pictures? That is the essence that the exhibition conveys. In The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Madrid, visitors are just another character.
One of the most special things about this exhibition is that, in addition to being able to take pictures and recreate the funniest scenes of the series (we all have a favorite), some sets have professional cameras integrated into the space. They are positioned to capture the best possible framing, and at the end of the tour, you can take those photos printed on photo paper and framed. A tangible reminder of having been, literally, inside FRIENDS™.
But that’s not all. The exhibition is like the behind the scenes of the DVD. It includes anecdotes from the shoot and statements from the art and wardrobe team, as well as recreations of some of the costumes from the series. Who hasn’t ever dreamed of dressing like Rachel Green?
What can you see now at The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Madrid?
Beyond the iconic hallway doors between apartments that we all recognize, this experience is a journey into the spaces where the most memorable FRIENDS™ moments were woven. Every nook and cranny is filled with little nods that true fans will know how to identify like Chandler’s notes on the chalkboard or the chirping of Joey’s baby chick.
The FRIENDS™ Experience isn’t just for watching, it’s for living. You can take on your friends in a game of foosball, or recreate that mythical scene on the stairs, struggling to move Ross’s couch.
And a classic among classics that could not be missed: the orange sofa of Central Perk, surrounded by a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying the moment with your group of friends.
If you close your eyes, it’s easy to imagine yourself being part of the group, sharing confidences and dreams in one of the most iconic places on television.
